Integrated Research and Action for Development ( IRADe ) is an independent, not-for-profit policy research institution established in 2002, working across energy and power systems, climate change and environment, sustainable urban development, agriculture and food security, poverty alleviation and gender. IRADe undertakes multidisciplinary research, policy analysis, capacity building and stakeholder engagement, working with governments, industry, academia, financial institutions and international organisations. It serves as the Asia Centre for Sustainable Development, with experience in policy research and implementation across South Asia. Over more than two decades, IRADe has undertaken 150+ projects, working with 11 Central Government Ministries, State Governments and national institutions, as well as major international and development partners including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), USAID, British High Commission, GIZ, FCDO. Its South Asia experience includes regional energy cooperation, cross-border electricity trade, renewable energy integration and energy transition. Through this experience, IRADe connects research and evidence with policy, technology, markets and implementation.
