Vivek Abrol is the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Luminous Power Technologies. Under his leadership, Luminous is focused on accelerating growth across its core power backup portfolio and strengthening its position in the fast-evolving solar and energy ecosystem. Vivek is driving the company’s transition toward smarter, cleaner, and more connected energy solutions, with a strong emphasis on technology, sustainability, and consumer-centric innovation.

With over 25 years of leadership experience, including a decade as CEO, Vivek brings deep expertise across FMCG, stationery, and electricals. He began his career at ITC Ltd., where he spent 16 years in multi-disciplinary leadership roles, scaling FMCG businesses and building strong operational foundations. He later transitioned into leadership roles at Pidilite Industries Ltd. and RR Kabel Ltd., where he managed end-to-end businesses across diverse sectors.

Before joining Luminous, Vivek served as CEO of RR Kabel’s Consumer Electricals (FMEG) business, where he led a transformational growth journey—growing the business fivefold over a 4.5-year period. During this time, he drove innovation and portfolio expansion across categories such as fans, lighting, geysers, room heaters, coolers, and more, while significantly strengthening go-to-market and brand capabilities.
At Luminous, he is focused on reinforcing the company’s market leadership in inverters and batteries while building new capabilities in solar, smart energy technologies, and emerging consumer solutions. He is also committed to enhancing operational excellence and driving digital transformation across the organization.
