Vinit Kumar Garg has over 19 years of experience in carbon projects, GHG accounting, and Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) across India, Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
At BURN Manufacturing, he leads technical work on large-scale clean-cooking carbon projects, focusing on monitoring system design, data quality, emission reduction quantification and compliance with carbon-crediting standards. He previously held senior technical and operational roles at EKI Energy Services and C-Quest Capital. He began his career in validation and verification with SGS, TÜV NORD and URS, assessing projects under CDM, Gold Standard and Verra (VCS).
His expertise lies in building and assessing transparent, auditable MRV frameworks, covering methodologies, sampling, data management, QA/QC and independent verification.
At the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026, he brings this perspective to the discussion on biogas and green bio-molecules, particularly the role of credible MRV, methane-abatement accounting, carbon finance and project-level mechanisms in accelerating decentralized renewable-energy solutions and India's transition towards a circular bioeconomy.
