Shri Vikram Saxena is Director (Technology & Field Services) on the Board of ONGC. He also serves on the Boards of HPCL and ONGC Green Limited, contributing to ONGC’s sustainability and clean energy initiatives.
As Director (Technology & Field Services), Shri Saxena spearheads ONGC’s Drilling & Well Services campaign and oversees Technical Services across the organization. He is also responsible for ONGC’s Institute of Drilling and Well Engineering, a Centre of Excellence in Drilling and Well Engineering at Dehradun, and the School of Maintenance Practices, Vadodara, which supports and trains Field Maintenance Services.
A graduate in Mechanical Engineering with a postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management, Shri Saxena has over three and a half decades of extensive experience in Exploration and Production operations across onshore and offshore domains. Before assuming his current role, he held several key leadership positions within ONGC, demonstrating deep understanding of operations, maintenance, regulatory frameworks, health, safety and environment, and policy matters.
Known for leading from the front, Shri Saxena has ensured excellent performance in Drilling & Well Services. He is a dedicated proponent of continuous learning and has strongly advocated integration of cutting-edge technology and digitalization to drive growth and sustainability in the energy sector.
