Bio
Vikram Kapur is a Senior Leader in the green energy/decarbonization space and Group President at ReNew, one of the world's leading green energy companies. He is a member of ReNew's Management Board and reports directly to the Chairman.
Vikram oversees three key areas of responsibility. He leads the commercial function across ReNew's renewable energy businesses, including Solar, Wind, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Merchant Assets, and C&I. He also leads Regulatory and Government Affairs across all ReNew businesses and heads the New Businesses portfolio, including Pumped Hydro, Green Hydrogen, Data Centers, and Carbon initiatives.
Prior to joining ReNew, Vikram was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he led the firm's Energy & Materials Practice in the region. Before that, he led McKinsey's Infrastructure Practice in the region.
Vikram holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). He also earned an MBA with specializations in Finance and Marketing from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, where he was recognized on the Dean's List.
