Tejas Deoras

Tejas Deoras’ experience comprises Private Equity, Investment Banking and Project Finance across infrastructure sub-sectors over nearly two decades. His aggregate investment experience across deals includes a total of over USD 1.2 Billion equity commitments, USD 800 Million Equity exit and also debt financing transactions of over USD 1 Billion.

He has been an early member of the Direct Investments team at NIIF, with ~8 years experience at the firm since its formative stages and is currently Principal- Investments for the NIIF Master Fund. The Fund has set up eight platforms with market leadership positions across renewables, energy transition, ports and logistics, airports, roads, smart meters, and digital infrastructure space.
NIIF’s Master Fund is India’s largest infrastructure focused fund, with the first fund of ~INR 16,000 Crores being fully committed and first close of the second fund achieved at ~INR 19,000 Crores in Aug 2026, with an expected final close of ~INR 30,000 Crores for the second fund.

In his current role, Tejas is responsible for coverage across Renewables, Energy Transition Airports, Ports & Logistics investments. He has been involved in end-to-end investment, platform set-up and portfolio management for NIIF in these sectors.

Prior to joining NIIF, Tejas worked with the Investment Banking Group at HDFC Bank, where he led pan-India product coverage for Ports, Logistics, Warehousing and Shipping sectors.
Tejas is a Post-Graduate in Management from IIM Mumbai (formerly NITIE). He also holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Mumbai University and has completed all three levels of the CFA programme administered by the CFA Institute, USA.
