Surbhi Goyal is a Senior Energy Specialist at the World Bank with more than two decades of experience in the energy sector. She currently manages a diverse portfolio in India covering industrial decarbonization and green hydrogen, hydropower, floating solar, and renewable energy with battery storage. She has led or supported over 35 projects and 30 analytical activities, including the 750 MW Rewa Solar Project, India’s first grid-connected solar-plus-battery project in Chhattisgarh, and major policy actions under a US$3 billion green hydrogen initiative. Recognized as one of “Asia’s Most Influential Women in Renewable Energy,” Surbhi holds a master’s degree in economics from the Delhi School of Economics.
