Shaji John

Shaji John is an Electrical Engineer from NIT Bhopal, has Executive MBA from SP JAIN, Mumbai and he is also a Certificated Project Management Associate, IPMA Switzerland.

As Senior Vice President at Ohmium, he is responsible for Business Development & Sales for Ohmium, a Green Hydrogen Technology Company since June 2022. In addition, he leads the efforts on C&I Segment and Hydrogen Asset Development Initiatives. He is also a Board Member in Ohmium India Operations Pvt. Ltd. He is a key player in securing landmark deals for Ohmium, such as the NTPC 400MW Green Hydrogen Framework Agreement. He led efforts to establish the first set of pilot hydrogen projects across many geographies and use cases. He also cultivates strong relationships and partnerships with leading global companies like NTPC, Toyota, Hero Futures, Toyo, Renew, Osaka Gas, Kanoike and more.

In his last assignment with L&T, Shaji John was responsible for developing Renewables business and ensuring that L&T is well placed to capture a considerable market share in the emerging clean energy space. The Solar Initiative was started under his leadership back in 2008 and reached a portfolio of over ~ 8 GW of Solar projects, 150 MWHr of Battery Energy Storage Systems and 500 Micro Grids. He was responsible for bagging one of the largest contracts of NEOM Green Hydrogen project, involving 3 GWp Solar, 1.5 GW Wind, 500 MWHr of Batteries and associated Grid Management Systems.
