Ranjit Gupta is a distinguished energy industry leader and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience across renewable energy, green hydrogen, green ammonia, hydropower, power infrastructure, and energy transition.
As the Founder & CEO of Ocior Energy, he is leading the development of large-scale Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia projects in India and internationally. Under his leadership, the company has secured Green Hydrogen projects for BPCL and HPCL and significant Green Ammonia supply capacity in consortium with Jakson Green. The company is progressing projects with an overall planned investment exceeding USD 1 billion.
Previously, Ranjit served as CEO of Azure Power, where he led significant business expansion and growth, increasing operating assets from approximately 1.5 GW to 2.9 GW. He was also the Co-Founder & CEO of Ostro Energy, which rapidly developed into a leading renewable energy platform before its landmark acquisition by Renew Power.
He has also served as the Founding CEO of India bulls Power (Rattan India Power), Co-Founder of Orange Powergen, and held senior international leadership positions with Schlumberger across multiple countries.
Ranjit is an IIT Bombay graduate and has completed the Senior Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. His expertise spans strategic leadership, large-scale project development, investment and financing, stakeholder engagement, corporate governance, and energy policy.
With extensive entrepreneurial and leadership experience, Ranjit Gupta is recognised for his contribution to India's renewable energy and clean energy transition.
