Shri Priyavrat Bhati is a policy and sustainability professional currently serving as Programme Lead, Green Transition, Energy, Climate & Environment (GTC&E) Division at NITI Aayog. He has extensive experience and prior leadership roles in climate change, air pollution, sustainability, and industrialization. Before joining NITI Aayog, he held senior positions in the climate and sustainability space, including Sector Head for Climate, Air Pollution & Sustainability at the Centre for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP), and Programme Director for Sustainable Industrialization at the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE). In his current role, he works in policy support and formulation for circular economy and green transition initiatives, as well as for environment, forest, climate change, mitigation, and adaptation. His current work engages academia, think tanks, ministries, and state governments to improve environmental policy and implementation.
