Ms. Priya Kumar is an Executive Director with Power Finance Corporation Ltd. (PFC), a Maharatna company and leading financial institution for power sector in India. She currently leads the Solar & Wind Projects (Private sector), Lending Policy and Stressed Assets functions.
With a career spanning over 28 years at PFC, Ms. Kumar has extensive power sector financing experience, across conventional generation, transmission & distribution, as well as renewable energy projects. She has also steered financing initiatives into new sectors such as non-power infrastructure, battery storage, Green Ammonia etc.
Over the years she has successfully led the business teams in Western Region and Southern Region, catering to both government and private sector clients. She has been instrumental in resolution of some of the large stressed assets in the power sector and played a key role in scaling up of renewable energy portfolio as head of Solar & Wind projects business.
Ms. Kumar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance), from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
