Oleksiy Tatarenko

Oleksiy Tatarenko is a Senior Principal in RMI’s Climate-Aligned Industries Program, where he leads the hydrogen initiative spanning clean hydrogen hubs, shipping, fertilisers, infrastructure, and international policy and trade. He brings 17 years of leadership experience across the public and private sectors, with a focus on energy-system transformation and new business models. Prior to RMI, Oleksiy led Shell’s Energy Transition Program, developing initiatives in hydrogen and sectoral and country decarbonisation strategies, and previously served as Shell’s Deputy Country Chair in Ukraine. He holds a PhD in Economics and an MBA.
