Mr. Nishith Kumar is a distinguished renewable energy professional with 29 years of comprehensive experience across the renewable and conventional energy sector along with gamut of financial services related with renewable energy space.
During his long-standing tenure of around 27 years at Suzlon Energy Limited, he established and led Sales & Marketing team in his region and also played a pivotal role in advancing the organisation’s strategic business development along with policy influence, and government engagement.
Over the last 6-7 years, he led critical Corporate Affairs functions and driven high impact strategic initiatives, while simultaneously strengthening key Business Development efforts across the wind energy value chain. His leadership has anchored Suzlon’s relationships with Central Government ministries, key regulatory bodies, financial institutions, industry associations, IPPs, corporates, and PSUs clients.
He has been instrumental in building and institutionalising Suzlon’s stakeholder ecosystem at the national level. His structured engagement with government agencies has supported the resolution of major operational challenges, facilitated policy interventions, and strengthened Suzlon’s position as a trusted industry partner. His deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, approval processes, and renewable energy policy evolution has made him a recognised contributor to the sector’s development.
