Bio
Nat Malupillai is Group CEO of IIT Madras Research Park, - a dynamic research-led innovation ecosystem bridging academia, industry, and startups with focus on innovation and scaled commercialization covering sectors such as Space, Defence, Mobility, Communications, Manufacturing, Climate, AI, Semiconductor, Quantum, Health & BioTech etc.
Previously, he served as Director of Investments at Dell Foundation, deploying venture capital for social impact; he has invested and mentored startups in Engineering, Financial Services, and Climate Technologies.
His corporate roles include setting up Global Technology Services for Flextronics; leading Technology & Analytics for Target Corporation and managing Information-based Strategy for CapitalOne’s Digital Financial Services.
Nat has an MBA from Cornell University, MS (Engineering) from Texas A&M University, and B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) from National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India.
