Bio
Naga Phani Aetukuri is an Associate Professor in the Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. Prior to starting at IISc in 2016, he received his doctoral degree from Stanford University in 2013 and worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the Advanced Energy Storage group at IBM Almaden Research Center. His group’s research is in the areas of advanced electrochemical energy storage systems including solid-state Li-ion, metal-oxygen and related high energy density batteries. His research group engages with industries for translating battery research to technologies. He was a recipient of the IBM-Stanford SpinAps Graduate student fellowship and an IBM Research Division Award for Oxide Nano Devices. He has delivered the SM Mayanna Endowment Lecture of the Electrochemical Society of India.
