Megha Desai has worked with SEWA for 23 years. She currently leads SEWA’s Cleaner Energy programme and its Agriculture campaign. SEWA has organised 3.8 million women from 19 states, two-thirds of them in rural areas and mainly family farmers engaged in agriculture, animal rearing or fishing, and runs the National Farmers’ Forum Network for them. Through this network, Megha spreads awareness of and drives the transition to cleaner energy and cleaner soil, and works on policy and agro-enterprises.
