Bio
Mr Manoj Kumar Agrawal is executive director of the National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC) at GRID-INDIA.
He has more than 32 years of experience in the power sector and has contributed significantly to power sector reforms, power system operation and market operation, including the implementation of multiple power exchanges in India, sharing of transmission charges, centralised optimisation through security constrained economic dispatch (SCED) and renewable energy integration. He has also been instrumental in the implementation of Automatic Generation Control (AGC) for the first time in India, based on international experience gained during his tenure as head of the Ethiopia Load Despatch Centre for about two years.
Mr Agrawal holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT (BHU) and an MBA from MDI Gurgaon.
