Bio
Mr. Madan Mohan Illa has over 25 years of experience in the power sector, spanning project execution at site as well as project appraisal and financing. He has worked with NTPC and Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC).
His early career was in the field, covering erection, commissioning monitoring and operation of power projects. This gave him strong hands-on exposure to project execution and plant performance.
At PFC, he has appraised a wide range of power sector projects, including thermal, transmission, distribution, infrastructure, solar and small hydro projects. His experience also covers project monitoring, stressed asset resolution and the financing of power projects.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Finance & Strategy, which together give him both a technical and a financial perspective on project viability and funding.
Currently, he heads Business Development at PFC.
