Bio
Shri Loken Das has been working as Chief General Manager in the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and is presently posted in the Farm Sector Development Department in the Head Office of NABARD. Mr. Das headed Tripura Regional Office from 2022 to 2024 and Assam Regional Office of NABARD from 2024-26.
He is a Postgraduate in Agricultural Extension from Assam Agricultural University. He holds Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management from XLRI. He is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance and has completed the Advance Management Programme in Banking and Finance from the IIBF.
He joined NABARD in 1996 and had worked in various capacities in Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Tripura and Head office of NABARD, Mumbai. He had worked in different departments of NABARD related to development of Farm Sector, Non-Farm Sector (RMSME), Business Innovations, Climate Change, Micro Credit, Bank Supervision, etc. and gained experience on credit planning, development, implementation and monitoring of development projects related to agriculture, non-farm sector, climate change, women empowerment, collectivisation of farmers, etc.
