Kartikeya Narain Sharma
Co-Founder & Chief Business Officer (CBO) Sunsure Energy
Bio
Kartikeya Narain Sharma is Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer at Sunsure Energy, one of India's fastest-growing renewable energy platforms and the partner of choice for the country's largest corporations on their journey to round-the-clock clean power. An IIT (BHU) graduate, Kartikeya Narain Sharma began his career with a strong grounding in analytics and problem-solving - an experience that shaped both his structured approach to business and his understanding of large-scale systems. He recognised the long-term potential of renewable energy in India well before the sector emerged as a mainstream driver of industrial growth and energy transition. Over the years, Kartikeya has played a pivotal role in shaping Sunsure Energy into one of India's leading renewable energy companies backed by Partners Group, with a strong focus on execution excellence and customer-centric energy solutions.
Over more than a decade in the renewable energy sector, he has led Business Development, Business Strategy, Technical Asset Management and Marketing at Sunsure. His leadership has been instrumental in scaling the company's footprint to serve 80+ customers across 16 Indian states, while building a robust development pipeline of 8.40 GW across solar, wind and (battery energy storage systems) BESS. Through a series of strategic initiatives and product-led innovation, he has helped Sunsure expand beyond C&I renewables into the utility-scale power segment - anchoring landmark PPAs with SECI, SJVN, and NVVN (NTPC) - while diversifying Sunsure’s capabilities across solar, wind, and energy storage technologies.
