Bio
Dr. Jochen Witzig is a mechanical engineer with experience spanning wind power, commercial vehicle and passenger car technology. He has 8 years of experience in wind power technology, 10 years in commercial vehicle technology and 3 years in passenger car technology, with a background across auto components, commercial vehicle drivetrain systems and wind energy powertrains.
He has held leadership roles including Engineering Director, Head of Business Unit for Truck & Van Driveline Technology, and Head of Site and Production for Truck, Industrial and Aftermarket in Friedrichshafen. He also served as CEO of ZF Wind Power Antwerpen N.V.
He currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer at ZF Wind Power, a global designer, manufacturer and service provider of wind turbine powertrains.
He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Technical University Munich, completed in 2005, a Diploma in Business Sciences from University Hagen in 2010, and a PhD from Technical University Munich in 2011.
