Jes Smed

Jes Smed is an energy specialist at the Danish Energy Agency, where he works on international energy cooperation and knowledge sharing. He has a degree from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he studied from 1996 to 2002. His work includes sharing Danish experience with electricity market design, competition and flexibility, and the integration of renewable energy. He has been involved in knowledge exchange with partners in India and South Africa, supporting the development of more flexible and efficient electricity systems.
Prior to joining the Agency, he spent more than 16 years at Ørsted, gaining extensive industry experience in the energy sector.
