Dr Jai Prakash is the Deputy Director General at National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Govt. of India. He holds PhD in Solar Photovoltaic from National University of Singapore, and M.Tech in Energy Science & Engineering from IIT Bombay.
Dr Jai Prakash has 20 years of research experience in Solar Photovoltaic and related field. Prior to joining NISE, he was Heading Silicon PV Module Technology Group at Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS), National University of Singapore. His research work focuses on next generation solar cell and module, characterization & reliability of c-Si & perovskite modules, testing & standardization, PV asset management, PV recycling & circular economy, Solar Resource assessment and forecasting, micro-grid with RE sources, battery energy storage.
