He is a graduate in Electrical Engineering and holds Ph. D. from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
He has served for more than 28 years in power sector and 2 years in Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Bhopal. During 28 years in power sector, he has worked and contributed in the areas of Generation Expansion Planning, Development of integrated Generation and Transmission expansion planning models, Electricity Demand Projection, Transmission Expansion Planning, Generation and Transmission Resource Adequacy, award of transmission schemes through TBCB route, integration of Renewable Energy Sources in the Grid, Green Energy Corridor Scheme, planning of cross border interconnections, international cooperation in Power Sector, One Sun One World One Grid initiative, ease of doing business etc.
He has the credit of publishing technical papers in International Journals.
He is Senior Member IEEE.
