Hiren Mehta

Hiren Mehta is working as a Senior Vice President - Business Development for Green Chemicals in Reliance Industries Limited, since March 2025. In this role, he is responsible to promote energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable fuels; off-take of Green Ammonia and Green Methanol; and innovate techno-commercial solutions to make renewable fuels affordable.

Hiren previously worked as a Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President - Business Development in ACME Group, between 2023 to 2025. At ACME, he immensely contributed to execute world’s 1st long term offtake agreement for supply of green ammonia to Europe based global fertiliser company and also contributed to conclude off take-led equity partnership with Japanese conglomerate for ACME’s green ammonia project in India.

He also worked in LNG industry for nearly 15 years in H-Energy and BG Group plc. In LNG industry, he oversaw various senior management positions including business development, sales of natural gas, commercial operation, strategic planning and regulatory affairs. He hugely contributed to grow the consumption of natural gas in India.

In 2013, he ventured into flexible packaging industry, where he led sales and business development in more than 20 countries includes North Americas, Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia markets.

Hiren’s career spanned more than 24 years of experience in National and International Sales & Business Development, Strategic Planning, Pricing & Risk Management Marketing Communication, and Policy Advocacy & Regulatory affairs.

Hiren holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and MBA in Marketing Management from University of Pune, India.
