Bio
Garima Chauhan is Chief Business Officer at Equentia Energy, where she heads the development of the company’s utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) business, with a focus on renewable energy integration, grid flexibility and energy transition infrastructure.
Her work focuses on the intersection of renewable energy, energy storage, capital, technology and policy, with a particular emphasis on developing bankable and scalable models for integrating renewable energy into India’s evolving power system.
With 15+ years of experience across strategy, business transformation and financial services, Garima has worked with leading organisations including McKinsey & Company, EY, Accenture and Cognizant, and previously led international business initiatives at CredAble.
At Equentia Energy, she has built the BESS business from the ground up, driving market development, commercial strategy, project structuring, financing readiness, strategic partnerships and execution. Under her leadership, the company has secured 108 MW / 216 MWh of utility-scale BESS projects with leading DISCOMS of the country.
An IIM alumna, Garima brings a combination of strategic consulting experience and hands-on infrastructure execution to India’s energy transition.
