Bio
Dr.-Ing. Siddhartha Garud is a researcher at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB), Germany, specialising in perovskite-based tandem solar cells and photovoltaic technologies. He contributes to research and project management focused on improving the manufacturability, stability, and reliability of perovskite solar cells. He has played a key role in the TEAM PV project, an international collaboration involving HZB, the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), the University of Colorado Boulder, and Humboldt University of Berlin. His work aims to develop standardised fabrication and testing methods to accelerate the commercialisation of next-generation solar technologies. In October 2025, he received the HZB Technology Transfer Award alongside Kevin J. Prince for work on perovskite-based multi-junction solar cells.
