Bio
Dr. Satyapriya Rath, IAS, is Managing Director of GRIDCO, Odisha’s state-designated entity for bulk power procurement, a post he has held since July 2025. He holds a master’s degree in physics, a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from NIFM, Faridabad, and a PhD on fiscal sustainability in Odisha from KIIT University.
He joined the Odisha Finance Service in 1997 and was later elevated to the IAS. For about a decade he led the state’s Budget team and was instrumental in Odisha’s FRBM compliance and fiscal transparency. He served as Member Secretary of the 6th State Finance Commission. In October 2026 he received the Wind India 2026 award for Odisha’s leadership in wind energy de-risking.
