Bio
Prof. Prakash C. Ghosh is a Professor in the Department of Energy Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay. His research spans over twenty-five years, focusing on the green hydrogen value chain, including electrochemical energy systems, fuel cell technologies, electrolysers, and green hydrogen production systems. He has made significant contributions to the development of indigenous hydrogen technologies, such as electrolyser systems, a green hydrogen-based clean cooking solution for underprivileged communities, and other sustainable hydrogen energy applications.
He has led numerous national and international collaborative projects in sustainable energy and serves as a key resource person in policy dialogues on the green hydrogen value chain. His research group at IIT Bombay is actively engaged in developing technologies for hydrogen production, storage, utilization, and safety protocols, contributing to India’s transition towards a clean and secure energy future.
Prof. Ghosh has published extensively in leading international journals, supervised numerous doctoral and master’s students, and is widely recognized for his commitment to bridging cutting-edge research with real-world applications for large-scale deployment.
