Sh. Debasish Das assumed the charge of Director (Commercial) of GRIDCO Ltd., a Govt. of Odisha Undertaking under Energy Department w.e.f. July 2025. He is the overall in-charge of the Power requirement planning & procurement function of the Organization as well as responsible for Renewable Energy Nodal Agency functions. He is driving commercial strategies and advancing renewable energy initiatives andis actively involved in promoting sustainable energy solutions, facilitating policy implementation, and accelerating the State’s transition towards clean energy.
He is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the power and energy sector, particularly in electricity distribution, regulatory affairs, and renewable energy integration. Previously, he has held key positions across reputed national and international organizations like PwC India, Siemens, Reliance Infra (BSES) managed Odisha Discoms, India Power and IPICOL etc. and contributed significantly in Operational & Commercial reforms and Advisory services in power sector, Project execution, Utility management and Industrial promotion and development in the State.
Sri Das holds a degree in Engineering (Electronics), along with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master’s degree in Law, equipping him with a unique blend of technical, managerial, and legal expertise. With his multidisciplinary expertise and vast industry experience, Sri Debasish Das continues to contribute significantly to the growth and transformation of the power sector in Odisha.
