Bio
Mr. Chintan Shah is a renewable energy professional with over three decades of experience having served in leadership roles spanning policy advocacy, regulatory affairs, project development, financing and institutional management. His core expertise covers green financing (debt/equity) and integrated clean energy solutions.
He is a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda.
Mr. Shah began as a policy researcher in The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), where he closely worked on projects around wind, solar and renewables.
He was subsequently working with Suzlon Group of Companies as President, Strategic Business Development, overseeing projects, policy advocacy, regulatory affairs, strategic business development and initiative, international expansion, manufacturing, M&A, and backward integration.
Switching to the financing side of the dynamics, Mr. Shah joined IREDA in 2018 as a Director - Technical. In his five years at the Navratna PSU, he oversaw the funding of various sectors in the RE space, implementation of PLI and CPSU schemes, and evolving new product and initiatives at the company.
Subsequently, he joined ReNew at Group President & Global Head of Corporate Affairs, where he worked on creating opportunities for the group in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.
Mr. Shah is the Founder and Managing Partner at SustCred, a Cat-II Alternate Investment Fund (AIF), with a mandate to invest in clean energy infrastructure and credit gaps in the entire value chain. He is also a Director at Solfin, which is into solar financing.
