Bernhard Telgmann has served at Suzlon since 2017 and holds the role of President Technology and Group CTO.He is an experienced international executive with more than 34years in the energy sector, including 20-years in renewables and wind power. His background spans technology-driven plant engineering, construction, product development, engineering, and project execution in system and solution businesses.
Mr. Telgmann is recognized as a strategist with a strong focus on product innovation, business growth opportunities, and new sales channels. He has led the successful development and launch of new products and technologies, with emphasis on reducing time to market, optimizing performance and cost.
Before joining Suzlon, he held several senior leadership and advisory positions across the energy and wind industries, including:
- Senior Technology Advisor, TeleSystemEnergy, Hydrokinetic
- Senior Board Advisor, IAC Interaction Consultants
- EVP Product & Technology, Senvion (CTO)
- EVP Region Asia Pacific, Siemens Wind Power (CEO)

- Director Engineering, Siemens Power Generation
His earlier experience also includes engineering in thermal power plants and consulting in fuel cells, giving him broad expertise across conventional and renewable energy domains.
Academically, he holds a Dipl.-Ingenieur qualification in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in thermo- and fluid-dynamics.
