Avinash Hiranandani

Mr. Avinash Hiranandani is the Vice Chairman & Managing Director of RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd., India’s first integrated manufacturer of solar PV modules and key components, including encapsulants, backsheets, and PV cells. A seasoned business leader with over three decades of experience across the packaging, engineering, energy, and manufacturing sectors in India and international markets, he has been instrumental in driving RenewSys’ transformation into one of India’s leading solar manufacturing companies.

Since assuming leadership at RenewSys in 2015, Mr. Hiranandani has spearheaded the company’s expansion through technological innovation, manufacturing excellence, and strategic investments in R&D and sustainability. Under his guidance, RenewSys has introduced several industry-first technologies and products while strengthening India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem. He has also championed initiatives in quality infrastructure, circular economy practices, and solar waste management through early adoption of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance.

Mr. Hiranandani is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from MIT, Pune, and has further strengthened his leadership capabilities through executive education at Columbia Business School, New York, USA. He has also completed specialised international training programmes in Bilbao, Spain, and Houston, Texas, USA, gaining valuable exposure to global engineering standards and energy practices. Beyond RenewSys, he actively contributes to the advancement of India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem as a founding member of the Solar Ancillary Manufacturers Association (SAMA), a Core Committee Member of ISMA, and Co-Chair of the Solar Manufacturing Taskforce at FICCI.
