Bio
Andrea Pestarino is the International Financial Institutions & Tender Management Executive Director, at RINA Consulting. Andrea holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Genoa, with an academic experience at Linköping University. His studies focused on industrial machinery, vehicles, mechanical design, modelling and simulation, robotics, production automation and the environmental interaction of industrial systems.
With more than 20 years of experience, Andrea previously led RINA’s energy innovation activities and managed the R&D department, active in all major research programmes in Europe. Currently, he is the ultimate responsible for all international business development activities focused on multilateral development banks and donor-funded frameworks, while also overseeing the company’s global tender-management organization.
His international experience encompasses Europe and associated countries, the United Kingdom, West Africa and Central America, combining assignments in decarbonization, PV and renewable energy, hydrogen, sustainable infrastructure, digital technologies, capacity building, donor-funded consulting and international project management.
