Information
The Energy and Resources Institute is an independent research organisation working across energy, climate change, sustainable agriculture, resource efficiency, environmental management and sustainable habitats. Over several decades, TERI has combined scientific research, policy analysis, technology development and field implementation to address India’s development and environmental challenges. Its energy work covers renewable electricity, distributed energy, industrial decarbonisation, energy efficiency, sustainable transport, bioenergy and emerging low-carbon technologies, supported by extensive experience that includes thousands of projects and energy audits across India.
TERI’s presence at the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit brings an integrated understanding of the transition that extends beyond power generation. Renewable energy interacts with agriculture, buildings, industry, cities, livelihoods, natural resources and climate resilience, and TERI’s multidisciplinary work helps connect these otherwise fragmented conversations. Its combination of policy expertise and field experience can help the Summit evaluate not only what is technologically possible, but also what is environmentally responsible, socially inclusive and implementable within India’s diverse economic and geographical conditions.
