Information
The National Institute of Solar Energy is an autonomous specialised institution under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. It serves as a national technical focal point for solar-energy research and development, resource assessment, product development, testing, certification, standardisation, consultancy and capacity building. Its specialised facilities cover solar cells and modules, inverters, batteries, solar pumping systems, thermal technologies and radiation measurement, while its work also extends to solar-sector skill development and a dedicated Centre of Excellence on Hydrogen Energy.
NISE brings scientific credibility and technical rigour to the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit. As India rapidly expands domestic manufacturing and solar deployment, questions of product quality, performance, safety, reliability and workforce competence become increasingly important. NISE can help connect policymakers, manufacturers, researchers, developers and testing institutions around the standards and capabilities required to sustain long-term growth. Its presence ensures that the Summit’s conversations on scale remain firmly supported by research, validation, technical excellence and the development of a future-ready renewable-energy workforce.
