Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association
Information
Established in 1998, the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association is the apex business association and representative voice of India’s wind industry. It engages with central and state policymakers, regulators, investors, manufacturers, developers and other sector stakeholders to strengthen the policy and commercial environment for wind-energy growth. The association also promotes industry dialogue, technology development, domestic manufacturing and a more sustainable renewable-energy ecosystem.
IWTMA brings a vital technology-specific perspective to the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit. Wind power is central to creating a diversified renewable-energy mix and complementing solar generation across different hours and seasons, while its manufacturing value chain offers significant opportunities for industrial growth and employment. The association’s participation can help focus attention on policy stability, manufacturing competitiveness, capacity addition, investment and the conditions required to unlock the next phase of India’s wind-energy potential.
