Information
IREDA is a Navratna Government of India enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and has operated as a specialised financial institution for renewable energy and energy efficiency since 1987. As a public financial institution and non-banking financial company, it promotes and finances projects across solar, wind, hydro, bioenergy, waste-to-energy, compressed biogas, transmission, energy efficiency, green mobility and emerging clean technologies.
IREDA’s participation is central to the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit because access to appropriate finance remains one of the defining conditions for project development and sectoral scale. Its understanding of project appraisal, debt structures, refinancing, receivables, new technologies and developer requirements can help shape practical conversations on making clean-energy projects investible. IREDA represents the critical bridge between national renewable-energy priorities and the capital required to convert them into operating assets.
