The Indian Biogas Association (IBA) is an industry-led platform dedicated to advancing biogas and bioenergy in India by connecting technology providers, project developers, researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders across the sector. Beyond industry advocacy, IBA operates as a knowledge and capacity-building platform through technical training, feasibility services, laboratory testing, publications and industry engagement, while promoting biogas as a decentralised renewable-energy solution capable of converting organic waste into productive energy.
IBA’s participation expands the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026 conversation beyond electricity generation to the wider circular-energy economy. Biogas sits uniquely at the intersection of clean energy, waste management, agriculture, rural livelihoods and decarbonisation. Bringing the sector’s industry voice into the Summit can therefore help advance discussions around waste-to-wealth models, decentralised energy, technology adoption, financing and the scaling of bioenergy as an integral part of India’s diversified renewable-energy portfolio.
