GH2 India is a multi-stakeholder platform working to accelerate the development and deployment of green hydrogen and its derivatives across India. By engaging with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, state governments, industry, financial institutions, think tanks, academia and civil society, it focuses on creating an enabling policy environment, stimulating market demand and building institutional and professional capacity. Its work addresses issues such as certification, investment, domestic and export markets, project development and collaboration across the hydrogen value chain.

Its role at the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit is vital because green hydrogen sits at the intersection of renewable power and the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors such as steel, fertilisers, shipping and heavy industry. GH2 India can bring developers, buyers, policymakers, financiers and technology providers into the same conversation, helping shift the debate from production announcements towards demand creation, infrastructure, standards, financing and long-term market formation.
